Dual Wombat Enclosure – Marulan

A local family of carers already have nine wombats growing, digging and getting ready for release. Yet they still have the space in their heart to help more, and all they need is need another enclosure. 

With each wombat often spending around 18 months in care, suitable pens are a major part of giving them the time and space they need before release. This new divided enclosure will create room for around 4–6 additional wombats at a time and will help many orphaned joeys get the love and care they need. 

This project will fund 48 metres of purpose-built wombat fencing, 1.5 metres high and trenched 600 mm into the ground. Using corrugated iron, heavy-duty posts and strong framing, the enclosure will be built for security, durability and long-term use by wombats in care.

We want to help these carers make room for the next wombat that needs them.
