Parrot Aviary – Moss Vale

A wildlife carer in Moss Vale is helping orphaned and injured native parrots recover, grow stronger and prepare for life back in the wild. But with birds at different stages of rehabilitation, she needs another aviary to separate those in intermediate care from those preparing for release.

Having dedicated spaces for each stage of care helps ensure birds have the room and environment they need to build their strength, confidence and flight skills. This additional aviary will free up existing pre-release space, allowing the carer to accommodate more birds and better support their rehabilitation needs.

This project will fund a 3 m × 2.2 m purpose-built, durable aviary is designed to withstand the demands of ongoing wildlife care and provide a secure, long-lasting facility that can support hundreds of birds over its lifetime.

We want to help this carer create the space she needs to give more native parrots their best chance at returning to the wild.
